Happy Chicago Day (October 9)!
I’m Dr. Tobin Hartnell, president of Culturalcache.com and I’m here to tell you why you should celebrate Chicago Day on October 9. It was the biggest party ever held up to 1893 and the day that Chicago chose to celebrate its comeback from the ashes. Save the date this time next year to come to Chicago’s new White City at Jackson Park. Visitors will explore a food village and 12 pavilions filled with innovators, artists, music and fun. To cap it off, wee will have the biggest fireworks display of the year, every year on Chicago Day. Families will love it and participants will help Easter Seals, who support families dealing with mental disabilities such as autism. Learn more about Chicago Day by registering at Culturalcache.com. Happy Chicago Day everyone!
This year, you can join in the first Chicago Day with a reception at Bijans (663 N State). Tickets limited.
